Food Waste

Commercial Waste Collections.

Turn your food waste into clean energy and save money by reducing waste to landfill.

When food waste is sent to landfill it breaks down releasing methane (a potent greenhouse gas) into the atmosphere.

Anaerobic Digestion is an environmentally friendly alternative in which micro-organisms break down food waste in the absence of oxygen, inside an enclosed tank. As it breaks down, it gives off ‘bio-gas’ that is collected and used to generate electricity and heat. The process also creates bio-fertiliser, which can be used in farming and land regeneration.

Not only is separating food waste good for the environment, removing biodegradable waste from your residual container will reduce its weight, avoid landfill tax and reduce disposal costs.
