Fortress Recycling were delighted to continue their long-standing support for the annual fireworks extravaganza at Kenilworth Castle on Saturday 7th November.
Fortress have provided free recycling and waste disposal for the last 28 years. Director Robert Pass said; “We were delighted to help Kenilworth Round Table’s fundraising efforts again this year. It’s a fantastic community event and we’re happy to help.”
Over the years the event has grown to become the largest bonfire event in the district, raising over £500,000 for local charities during this time. A multitude of organisations and people within the local area benefit, including the Youth Centre, Abbey Fields Park, Myton Hospice, swimming teams, youth football and tennis, scouting organisations as well as making a huge difference to individuals (everything from holidays of a lifetime to a cooker).
Organiser Stuart Greenwood said; “On behalf of the Kenilworth Round Table, I would like to thank Fortress Recycling for yet another year’s support. It’s working with organisations like Fortress that make the event possible. We are a volunteer organisation, and we need the support of local business knowledge, skills and donations to make it happen. Every year Fortress arrive and collect all the waste from the 12,000 visitors without even being noticed!”
