Four members of the Fortress Recycling team successfully conquered Mount Snowdon for charity on Saturday 20th February.
The 3,560 ft climb was undertaken in challenging conditions; driving rain turned into hail and sleet as they got to higher ground. Conditions under foot were icy and they faced winds of 65mph.
The 6 hour trek was sponsored by Fortress in aid of Sport Relief. John Gates said; “It was tough going, but having to battle the elements gave us more of a challenge and a sense of achievement when we reached the summit.”
Henry Leaver said “It was good fun and for a great cause. We’re now looking forward to climbing Ben Nevis in the summer. Hopefully the view will be better at that time of year!”
